Job Description Job Description Chipton-Ross is seeking an
Environmental Health and Safety Specialist for a contract in
Chantilly, VA. Job Title: Environmental Health & Safety Specialist
Pay Rate: $ to $40.00 max Duration: Feb 23, 2026 to Jul 28, 2026 (5
months)with possibility of extension BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o Bachelor's degree in environmental, health,
and safety, or related field with at least 1 year of experience. o
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
with customers and staff. o Ability to plan, organize, and
follow-up on work flow to meet department goals and objectives. o
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word,
PowerPoint, and Excel. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: o Collaborate
with Aerospace employees, customers, vendors, and visitors to
mutually establish EHS requirements and priorities. o Assist in
ensuring compliance with internal EHS regulations as well as
compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including
completing inspections and maintaining required records. o
Investigate injuries/incidents to determine root cause, develop
corrective actions, and track to completion. o Assist in raising
awareness to applicable regulations and Aerospace EHS programs. o
Respond to on-site emergencies, such as evacuation,
shelter-in-place, and others. o Conduct safety inspections, develop
corrective actions, and track to completion. PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): o 4-5 years of
experience. o Experienced with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and ANSI Standards.
o Experience with environmental, health, and safety best practices,
standards, and methodologies. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree
in environmental, health, and safety, or related field and school
must be accredited. WORK HOURS: 5/40 work week. On-site.
