Description Summary:The George Washington University Law School is
celebrating its sesquicentennial anniversary this year and is the
oldest law school in Washington DC. GW Law was established in 1865

The Program Associate is a member of Faculty Support Services. The
incumbent will be responsible for supporting administratively the
Appointment Committee and multiple faculty members. The Program
Associate will work closely with various internal and external
stakeholders.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Program Directors on all aspects of
administrative support and event planning.
- Maintains and updates information on programs/committees;
prepares written documentation and correspondence for the
office
- Prepare and/or assists with the preparation of reports; may
perform information gathering and analysis, as directed.
- Arrange for facilities, catering, and event set up and secure
travel and financial reimbursements.
- Assist with marketing, communication, and managing social media
with the Program Directors.
- Post information to the Master Calendar; the GW Law App; and
other information portals.
- Assist the Appointment Committee with the recruitment process
for full-time faculties positions this includes but is not limited
to creating and submitting the postings on GW's job board, posting
if required to other external job boards, organizing applicant info
in an extensive online database, monitoring applicants, scheduling
interviews in a timely manner, and provide all supporting
applicant's documents to the interview panel.
- Coordinate arrangements for the AALS Conference for the
Appointments Committee members.
- Edit and distribute program marketing materials and
brochures.
- Assist with creating and developing program and event
invitations, and tracking guests' attendance.
- Oversee the pre-event and post-event coordination and set-up
(e.g., confirming speakers, room reservations, catering, contracts,
financial reimbursements, etc.). Organize and distribute event
materials including brochures, folders, name tags, giveaways, and
other materials for guests.
- Fax, compose documents, file, FedEx/ UPS / USPS shipments,
scheduling meetings, handling calendars, make reservations,
editing/proofreading, merging data sets, process reimbursement
requests, copy, order, organize, course materials, and assist with
event coordination.
- Manage the distribution and collection process of take-home
examinations from students, in addition to combining student data
related to exams.
- Works on other special projects and/or events that are central
to the operations.The omission of specific duties does not preclude
the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to
the position.Minimum Qualifications:Qualified candidates will hold
a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization.
Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree
requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of

order to meet deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate and organize conferences, symposia,
meetings, and other special events.
- Ability to interact with faculty, students, and staff in a team
environment.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to a diverse
