Transportation Assistant Midshift | Long-Term Position (Not Temp-to-Hire) Pay: $20/hour $3/hour shift differential ?? Schedule: Primarily 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM , with flexibility to help cover 1st or 2nd shift as needed About the Role We’re looking for a dependable, bilingual , and detail-oriented Transportation Assistant to join our Distribution Services team! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly in English and Spanish , and enjoys keeping transportation operations running smoothly. What You’ll Be Doing Prepare and submit shipping loads using internal and external systems Assign trailers for outbound shipments Print and organize shipping documents Provide drivers with required paperwork upon arrival Communicate live load instructions and print pickup sheets Communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers in both English and Spanish Resolve shipping issues in coordination with carriers and customers Complete end-of-shift reports Support coverage for 1st and 2nd shifts when needed Work overtime when required Perform additional duties as assigned by your manager or supervisor What We’re Looking For Must be bilingual (English/Spanish required) Comfortable working in a fast-paced distribution or warehouse environment Strong organizational and multitasking skills Reliable attendance and punctuality Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Willingness to learn new transportation and logistics systems Education & Experience High school diploma or GED preferred 1–2 years of related experience or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Skills That Help You Succeed Clear verbal and written communication in English and Spanish Ability to read and understand shipping documents (BOLs, reports, inventory paperwork) Basic math skills Problem-solving and data tracking abilities Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments Why Join Us?
