Director, Resiliency & Reliability Tech Risk Guide - Enterprise

redefine the financial sector. As a Technology Risk Guide Director
on the Tech and Product Risk (TPR) team, you will support the
Resiliency and Reliability Engineering (R2E) team. You will apply
your risk management and analytical skills to some of our highest
profile Risk Management, Technology, and Cyber projects. The focus
of this role is to own the risk portfolio and lead the associated
tech risk guide team. This means leading all risk efforts across
R2E processes and controls including incident management, problem
management, system reliability, resilience posture, enterprise
architecture, and site reliability engineering (SRE). You will act
as a thought leader across the TPR and R2E to develop and support
best-in-class industry risk solutions in a manner that supports
innovation and protects our customers, shareholders and associates.
You will provide direct tech risk guide services for our first line
R2E teams, with a specific focus on resilience and reliability
risks. Your contributions will drive organizational change through
risk identification, measurement, analysis and reporting in order
to better manage the company’s technology risks in an open and
collaborative environment. Technology Risk Guides are experienced
individuals that deliver value-added risk management services to
our business partners. You will have a high level of exposure
across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with
Executives to create and implement innovative solutions to identify
and mitigate potential risks to the Company, particularly those
related to resilience and reliability. Proficiency in Cyber and
Technology risk management program development and management, with
a strong understanding of resilience practices, incident and
problem management, architecture governance, and control frameworks
are key to success in this role. The successful candidate will be
an experienced risk management professional who understands
technology functions and organizations, with strong analytical,
planning, strategic thinking, organizational and communication
skills. In this role, you will: Serve as a Technology Risk Director
for the Resilience and Reliability Engineering (R2E) team to propel
technology risk agenda and help CORE make informed decisions. Build
successful relationships with Tech and other team members to
understand the impact of technology risk on critical business
processes Perform risk reviews during various processes such as
Risk Control and Self Assessments (RCSAs), Process Level
Assessments (PLA), Exceptions, Applications, Targeted Risk
Assessments and recommend on risk mitigation activities. Lead the
risk reviews of all issues in the space, ensuring remediation plans
are comprehensive, and executed in a timely manner based on
commitments Influence leaders within Tech, Compliance, Cyber
Security, second line risk organizations, and Internal Audit on key
technology risks and actions needed Have the ability to identify
the risks that need to be raised to leaders and share those topics
in a concise and actionable delivery style Conduct monthly risk
reviews with the executives and support reporting for technology
risk metrics Develop risk analysis, perform deep dive
investigations, and drive specific risk initiatives to minimize
risk posture and strengthen overall control suite effectiveness
Design and support internal risk and control governance processes
Identify and implement continual tech risk program enhancements
based on industry standards and best practices in alignment with
Capital One’s strategic risk direction Support the Enterprise
Services (ES) Risk organization by implementing new and innovative
ideas Perform high context critical thinking and problem solving to
address key Capital One challenges as we embark to deliver cutting
edge Cloud and AI solutions Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree
or Military experience At least 7 years of experience in
Cybersecurity, Technology, Risk Management, or External Audit, or a
combination At least 7 years of experience in project, process, or
program management At least 7 years of experience supporting,
partnering, and interacting with internal or external business
clients At least 4 years of People Management experience Preferred
Qualifications: 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity,
Technology, Risk Management, or Project/Program Management
Consulting experience with a Big 4 firm 5 years of experience
leading cross-functional tech and cyber risk management projects
specifically within public cloud-based environments 3 years of
experience formally managing risks, governance, and controls for
technology, digital products, and solutions 3 years of experience
in the Financial Services industry Professional Certifications
(AWS, Azure, GCP, CCSP, CCSK) Risk Certifications (CRISC, CISA,
CISM, CRCM, CAMS, CIPP, ABA Risk Management Certification)
Functional, in-depth knowledge of Cloud Environments, Cybersecurity
tooling, SaaS, and enterprise technology platforms Technical
proficiency of resilience and reliability (incident management,
problem management, measuring customer impact, architecture
governance concepts) Ability to set direction, delegate tasks, and
influence cross-functional teams to deliver results At this time,

annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please
note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to
perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the
amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed
upon number of hours to be regularly worked. Chicago, IL: $209,500
- $239,100 for Director, Cyber Risk & Analysis McLean, VA: $230,400
- $263,000 for Director, Cyber Risk & Analysis New York, NY:
$251,400 - $286,900 for Director, Cyber Risk & Analysis Richmond,
VA: $209,500 - $239,100 for Director, Cyber Risk & Analysis
Wilmington, DE: $209,500 - $239,100 for Director, Cyber Risk &
Analysis Candidates hired to work in other locations will be
subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the
actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the
time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer
letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based
incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or
long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or
