Ultrasound Tech Location: Winchester, VA Agency: Jackson HealthPros Pay: $2,235 to $2,435 per week Shift Information: Days - 9 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position We’re excited to announce an opening for an experienced OB/GYN Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist. You will perform obstetric and gynecological ultrasounds to assist physicians in making informed healthcare decisions while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout procedures. Minimum Requirements: ARDMS certification in relevant specialty required. Cardiovascular Credentialing International certification acceptable where applicable. BLS (AHA only) required. Minimum 1 year of experience performing obstetrical sonography, with documented experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) imaging studies required. Experience performing both transvaginal and abdominal ultrasounds on high-risk OB/GYN patients required. Associate degree in diagnostic medical sonography from an accredited program required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Degree training may be from a hospital, vocational-technical institute, or military service. Competence in operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment and familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred. Ability to work independently, evaluate patient tolerance for procedures, communicate findings with clinical team, and document diagnostic and billing data accurately. Assignment Details Facility type: Hospital. Unit/Department: Maternal Fetal Medicine / OB/GYN. Schedule: Monday–Friday, Days. Shift hours: 0800–1700. Weekly guaranteed hours: 36. Weekend hours: none. Standard Job Description You will operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment to assess a range of OB/GYN conditions with focus on high-risk pregnancies. Responsibilities include performing a variety of ultrasound examinations, assessing patient tolerance, providing ultrasound guidance for procedures, communicating diagnostic results with team members, documenting diagnostic and patient data in the medical record, and assisting with billing practices. You must demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy and physiology relevant to ultrasound interpretation, accountability and attention to detail, and a professional demeanor. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in sonography or related field. Experience with EPIC EMR. Previous work in high-risk obstetrical or maternal fetal medicine settings beyond one year.
