MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated Emergency Vehicle Operator/EMT Transport to join our Emergency Services team. This role is crucial in providing rapid, safe, and efficient transport services for patients requiring emergency medical care. As part of our team, you will operate state-of-the-art emergency vehicles and provide basic life support in accordance with all regulations and standards. You will work closely with medical personnel to ensure that patients receive timely and professional care during transport to medical facilities. Operate emergency vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. Assist in the loading and unloading of patients, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Provide basic life support and medical care as needed under the direction of healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate records of transport details and patient care information. Inspect and maintain emergency vehicles and equipment to ensure operational readiness. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with the latest in emergency care and vehicle operation. Proficient in driving emergency vehicles Basic Life Support (BLS) skills Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure Strong communication and interpersonal skills Physical stamina and strength Medical Insurance Valid state Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record CPR Certification
