Encompass Health Mechanicsburg is committed to offering exceptional, integrated care, and is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of various age groups. By working collaboratively with both healthcare professionals and families, you will create dynamic treatment plans tailored to enhance patient recovery and improve overall communication abilities. Evaluate patient’s speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills to determine a diagnosis and develop an individualized treatment plan. Implement specialized therapies to address deficits in communication and swallowing skills. Educate patient families and caregivers on intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and support ongoing communication development. Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient status and progress. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care delivery. Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with new therapies and technologies. Strong understanding of speech-related conditions and treatment techniques. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and medical teams. Ability to handle emotional and physical aspects of speech disorders. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and evidence-based therapy practices. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
