This position offers the opportunity to work alongside top-notch healthcare professionals in a patient-first environment, delivering rehabilitative services that support patient recovery and health improvement. As a PTA at MedStar Health, you will assist in providing therapeutic treatment and follow care plans designed by the physical therapist aimed at improving patient mobility, alleviating pain, and preventing or limiting permanent physical disabilities. Assist physical therapists in implementing specific treatment plans. Help patients perform specific exercises as part of the plan of care. Treat patients using techniques that improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. Record patient’s progress and communicate patient status to the therapy team. Maintain clinical documentation according to organizational policies. Knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices Ability to operate therapeutic equipment Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Physical endurance and mobility Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license CPR certified
