Job Description Job Description Job Title: Athletic Trainer Location: Waldorf, Maryland Job Type: Mon-Fri, with weekend availability Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Athletic Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preventing, diagnosing, and treating injuries related to physical activity and sports. The Athletic Trainer will work closely with athletes, coaches, and healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals engaged in physical activities. Key Responsibilities: Work with High School students for practice events and training room Evaluate, diagnose, and treat sports-related injuries. Develop and implement rehabilitation programs for injured athletes. Provide emergency care and first aid during practices and games. Educate athletes and staff on injury prevention techniques and wellness programs. Maintain accurate medical records of injuries, treatments, and rehabilitation plans. Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers for comprehensive patient care. Design and oversee conditioning programs to improve performance and reduce injury risk. Ensure proper use and maintenance of athletic training equipment and supplies. Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in sports medicine and athletic training. Comply with all applicable regulations, policies, and ethical standards. Qualifications: Certified Athletic Trainer Degree (Required) Certified Athletic Trainer License in Maryland (Required) Previous experience in an athletic training setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Passion for sports medicine and a commitment to athlete safety and performance Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
