Job Description:
MedStar Health, a leading non-profit healthcare organization, is
seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our homecare team in
Fort Washington. This role is crucial for providing personalized,
patient-first physical therapy services in patients' homes,
contributing to their rehabilitation and enhancing their quality of
life. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, skilled in
physical therapy, and ready to adapt to the dynamic environment of
home healthcare. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary
team to implement comprehensive treatment plans that are tailored
to the individual needs of each patient. Assess patient conditions
through interviews and physical examinations to develop appropriate
physical therapy treatment plans. Implement therapeutic
interventions focusing on functional mobility, pain reduction, and
improvement of overall physical function. Educate patients and
families on treatments, prevention techniques, and care plans to
ensure successful outcomes. Collaborate with healthcare
professionals to coordinate treatment and provide comprehensive
care. Document patient progress and adapt treatment plans as
necessary. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to
professional standards. Proficient in a range of physical therapy
techniques and tools. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively
communicate with patients and families. Ability to work
independently in a homecare setting. Excellent time management
skills with a proven ability to meet appointment schedules. Medical

Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Maryland. CPR and
First Aid certification preferred.
