  • We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ICU is a multidisciplinary unit that provides critical care to a diverse patient population, including neurological, neurosurgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients. -Key Responsibilities:
    • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with established protocols and best practices.
    • Monitor and assess patients using advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, arterial lines, central lines, pulmonary artery catheters, and more.
    • Administer medications, fluids, and therapies as prescribed while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
    • Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care plans.
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient conditions, interventions, and progress in the electronic medical record system (Cerner).
    • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. -Qualifications & Requirements:
      • Licensure: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia (or eligibility to obtain).
      • Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Required.
      • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience - Required.
      • Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner experience - Required.
      • Education: Graduate of an accredited or National League for Nursing (NLN)-approved RN program - Required.
      • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Highly desired.HonorVet Technologies Job ID #29873223.
