Job Description:
We have an immediate opening for a Project Design Electrical
Engineer in the Herndon, VA area This position requires that the
candidate selected be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain an
active TS/SCI security clearance. Upon application you will be
asked qualifying questions that will be used only in relation to
the US Government Security Clearance required for this role. As an
Amazon Fleet Remediation Project Design Electrical Engineer, you
will lead design projects in operational data centers, that
remediate issues, upgrade our existing infrastructure or add new
services. You will be the 'go to' engineering resource for these
projects and will provide lifecycle support from design through
implementation. You will use your electrical expertise to: • Own
the design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions
which add data center infrastructure, capacity, improve
availability, and/or increase sustainability. • Perform design and
equipment submittal review for data centers in your region. •
Interface with internal and external data center design engineering
teams, server hardware teams, environmental health and safety
teams, field engineers, and controls engineers to promote standards
that maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered. •
Work on concurrent projects, sometimes in multiple geographical
regions. • Act as a technical subject matter expert for your given
discipline during new remediation projects. • Support construction,
commissioning, operations, and turnover. If you meet these

Fleet Remediation Project Design Electrical Engineer, you will be
leading projects to fit out our data centers to meet ever-evolving
customer needs as we continue expanding our fleet to hyper-scale.
As an ideal candidate you: • Possess Strong Engineering Judgement
and are able to provide design and recommendations despite
uncertainty • Are detail and data oriented with familiarity with
design/construction processes • Have experience managing
engineering projects and engineering consultants. • Build trust and
relationships with different stakeholders (e.g., Operations,
Commissioning, Construction and Design) • Manage design and
as-built drawings and documents • Prepare and present progress
reports to all relevant stakeholders • Be inclined to get into the

team ADC (Amazon Dedicated Cloud) Fleet Remediation Engineering
provides engineering designs for data center retrofit and
remediation projects at sites supporting the US intelligence

Engineering or a related field - NETA or ASHRAE certification or
commissioning specific education courses - Knowledge of critical
data center mechanical and electrical equipment - Knowledge of
Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel - Experience
with the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of mission
critical facilities, especially data centers - Knowledge of
building codes and regulations for your region - Knowledge of
commercial or industrial power systems or mechanical systems -
Experience carrying design concepts through exploration,
development, and into deployment or mass production - Experience
using a variety of web-based and other software tools for

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
