We are a university-based APA -accredited clinical Psy.D. program characterized by a psychodynamic focus, collegiality and a commitment to preparing the next generation of clinical psychologists. The mission of the Professional Psychology Program is to graduate professional psychologists who areexceptionally skilled as clinical scientists in using a psychodynamic or psychoanalytic framework for the assessment and treatment of psychopathology. Individuals with clinical and scholarly skills in areas of emphases in the program, such as child and adolescent psychology, psychological assessment, multicultural and globally focused approaches, group psychotherapy, and community interventions are encouraged to apply.

  • An earned doctoral degree in clinical psychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association by date of appointment.
  • Licensure or immediate license eligibility as a psychologist in the District of Columbia.
  • Teaching experience at the graduate level including supervision of clinical work (minimum four or more years)
  • A commitment to scholarly research and discovery as evidenced by a record of scholarly presentations and/or publications.Advertised Salary:Advertised Salary: $85,000-$104,000Other Benefits:The successful candidate will be eligible for GW's employee benefits including medical, dental, and retirement.
